Chicago, IL – Today, Indivisible Illinois endorsed JB Pritzker and Juliana Stratton for governor and lieutenant governor. The statewide coalition is made up of over 50 local chapters spanning every congressional district in Illinois, and their endorsement follows Indivisible Chicago’s from after the primary election.

Indivisible Illinois is a non-partisan, issue-based organization working at the local, state, and national levels with a mission to engage Illinois citizens to become involved in civic activities and train new leaders.

“Organizations like Indivisible Illinois give me hope for the future of our state and I’m so honored to have their support as we take on Bruce Rauner in the fall,” said JB Pritzker. “Let’s be clear what we’re up against: a failed governor who goes from being Donald Trump’s silent partner to his biggest cheerleader. That’s not the type of leadership we need in Springfield. Illinoisans deserve a governor who will fight Trump’s attacks and work to expand opportunity across Illinois – and that’s what I will do in Springfield. Together, I know we can expand healthcare, invest in quality education, and fight for an inclusive economy that works for all of our communities. With the help of Indivisible chapters across our state, I know our grassroots movement is ready for the fight this November.”

“Indivisible Illinois is confident in JB Pritzker’s ability to lead and deliver on challenging social, economic and racial inequality issues in order to win on our shared progressive values,” said Indivisible Illinois’ Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth. “Illinois demands that we not only resist the current White House administration agenda of hate and bigotry but we must also fight for our values: healthcare is a human right, her body – her choice, clean energy, a living wage for an honest day’s work,  everyone is welcome here, quality accessible education from kindergarten to college and ending the school-to-prison pipeline. Indivisible Illinois is proud to endorse JB Pritzker for Governor of Illinois.”
