Get Involved
Democracy isn't a spectator sport. Whatever your time, skills, or schedule, there's a place for you in DeKalb County.
Volunteer
Knock doors, make calls, register voters, or staff an event. We'll train you and pair you with a team.
Come to a Meeting
Monthly on the third Thursday — networking 6:30pm, meeting 7:00pm, at 126 S. 4th St., DeKalb. All Democrats are welcome — no membership required.
Become a Precinct Committeeperson
Be the Democratic Party on your block. Committeepersons are elected in each precinct and are the grassroots backbone of the party — and many precincts are still open.
Run for Office
County board, township, school and library boards, and more are on the ballot. If you've ever thought about running as a Democrat, we'll help you take the first step.
Chip In
We take no corporate PAC money. Grassroots gifts from neighbors fund everything we do.
Every name on the ballot started with one decision.
DeKalb County has races up and down the ballot every year — and too many go uncontested. You don't need to be a career politician. You need to care about your community and be willing to step up. We can walk you through petitions, deadlines, and what it takes.
